Installation Guide for Windows OS

Follow these steps after downloading the installer.

1
Run the downloaded installer

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the file (e.g. SmartAcc-Support.msi).

  • If Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info""Run anyway".
  • If a UAC permission prompt appears, click Yes.
If your browser warns "This file may be harmful", click Keep — this is a routine Windows notice for new executables.
2
Wait for RustDesk to launch

The installer will complete setup automatically and open RustDesk. No additional configuration is needed — it comes pre-connected to SmartAcc's private server.

3
Find your ID and one-time password

On the RustDesk main screen you will see two things:

  • Your ID — a unique number identifying your device.
  • One-time Password — a temporary password shown below your ID.
The password refreshes periodically. Share it with the technician right when they are about to connect.
4
Share your ID & password with support

Give your ID and one-time password to the SmartAcc technician — via phone, email, or support chat.

  • Only share with a SmartAcc team member you contacted directly.
5
Accept the connection request (optional)

A prompt will appear on your screen when the technician connects. Click Accept to allow the session.

SmartAcc technician can also key in the one-time password you provided to connect.

You can see everything the technician does in real time and end the session at any point by closing the RustDesk window.
